Charlo AC members! It’s time for our weekly update, and we’ve got some exciting news and events to share:
1. Weekly Time trials starting at 17h30 sharp
- The Italian Club will be spoiling us with snacks for after your run.
2. Bay Run 21.1km and 10km
- This weekend, lace up your running shoes for the Bay Run! As usual, Charlo AC bulk entry will close at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. If you’d like to be part of the bulk entry, please send a private message to Denise with your name and preferred distance
Why should you be part of it? Well, let me break it down:
- Claim the Branded Gazebo : Picture this—a snazzy, club-branded gazebo. The club with the most entries takes it home. We stand a very good chance so please make sure you enter before 7pm with Denise tomorrow. This will be like winning the grand prize at a runner’s carnival!
- Lucky Draws: There will be lots of lucKy draw prizes but one person stands to win the Grand lucky draw prize of R2500.00 cash irrespective of the distance you run, who better to win this than a Charlo Runner!!
- Flat and Furious: The course? As flat as a pancake. If you’ve been eyeing a personal best (PB), this is your chance. No hills to slow you down—just pure speed potential.
- Weather Bliss: Mother Nature is on our side. The weather forecast? Exquisite! Sun shining, gentle breeze—perfect running conditions.
- Prep for Bigger Goals: Whether you’re gearing up for the Cape Town Marathon or assessing your fitness for the 1 City Marathon/Half Marathon later in the year, this race is your testing ground. Fine-tune those strategies, find your rhythm, and give it your all.
Let’s gather at the starting line and make this weekend count.
And remember, every entry gets us closer to that awesome gazebo!
3. Italian Club Rugby Event
- A big shout-out to everyone who supported the Italian Club last Saturday for the Big Screen rugby and afterparty. It was an epic evening, and we’re thrilled to see our club members coming together for community events!
4. Year-End Prize Giving
- Mark your calendars! Our year-end prize giving is scheduled for Saturday, November 30 , at the Italian Club’s Big Hall. And guess what? This year’s theme is a Circus Carnival Party! Start brainstorming your costume ideas—we can’t wait to see what creative outfits you’ll come up with. Invitation poster and more details will follow soon. Tickets go on Sale from Kitty as from Wednesday 9th October @ R150 p/p
